Economic indicator hits 26-year high under Obama

Unfortunately for those of us in the real world, that indicator is the unemployment rate, reaching a high point not seen since Reagan’s first term (one of those things he inherited from Carter). And the average work week fell to levels not seen since 1964 - before the Democrats’ “Great Society” (aka “The Great Welfare State").

Underemployment (which counts those who are working part-time jobs because they couldn’t find a full-time position as well as discouraged job seekers who have stopped looking for work) also hit an all-time high of 16.5%.
